Jiawei beaten in semi-final
SINGAPORE'S hopes for an Athens gold were dashed on Saturday after paddler Li Jiawei lost to North Korean Kim Hyang Mi at the women's table tennis singles semi-final.
The 23-year-old Singaporean, ranked 6th in the world, took the lead after winning three of the first four games but conceded the hard-fought match 11-8, 6-11, 11-0, 11-8, 8-11, 6-11, 9-11.

The 40th-ranked Kim will meet China's Zhang Yining in Sunday's finals.
Li will fight South Korean Kim Kyung Ah for the bronze in the play-off for third and fourth spots also on Sunday.
The South Korean had lost 1-4 to Zhang in the other semi-final match on Saturday.

a lot of pple were there..we went too late and the yukatas(smth like cotton kimono) were all rented out..*cries* i badly wanted to wear one..but..sigh..nxt yr lor..even more sway,all coupons sold out..how to buy stuff lidat?? so we went ard asking ple to sell us...succeeded both times..haha..maybe cos we look pitiful..hehe..and so we walked here...and there...so interesting..the ice cream special one..haha..later we went to scoop goldfish..using this very thin plastic..i very rough..straightaway broke..but fangling got 2 goldfishes..yay! ha..den went onstage to dance..super fun..somemore the kids there hontoni kawaii desu yo! so cutee...i wish they were mine =X
